OpenSeason.ie’s own professional pike angler, Patrick Rottmaier, also runs Shannon Boat Hire. Based in Killaloe, on beautiful Lough Derg (Co. Tipp), he offers a great range of services to experienced, beginner and in-between anglers.
- Lakeboat Hire - (half or full day), for the more experienced angler;
- Guided Fishing Tours of the lake, accompanied by Patrick, who knows Lough Derg inside-out (tackle supplied or bring your own);
- Fishing Lessons for adults or kids - the kids' lessons are particularly popular, designed to start them off on this excellent, outdoor, screen-free pastime.
Our photos show a couple of Patrick's very recent customers - Gilles and Maxim Cadarassone visiting from France. They arrived into the shop in a panic, as the airline had lost all of their rods. Once they got sorted, they asked us about where to find a guide - and the rest is history, as you can see in these happy photos!
