Inland Fisheries Ireland have been in touch to advise that they are hosting a Catch & Release Weekend next weekend.
This is part of the global International Year of the Salmon, with activities throughout the year intended to raise awareness around salmon habitat and conservation.
Saturday-Sunday 6th-7th July, anglers are being asked to:
- Release all salmon caught throughout Ireland.
- Send in details of your catch to Inland Fisheries.
- Receive a merit pin to show your participation in the initiative.
