Yesterday we fished the pairs match on Silvergrove. I wasn’t expecting a big stamp of fish and didn’t fancy the peg as much as some of the ones further up but gave it a go anyway.
At the start I saw lots of Rudd close in so fished a 4M whip and caught lots of them until they moved out. I then fished the pole most of the day and caught roach, hybrids and the odd skimmer in good bursts with the odd longer quiet spell. I weighed 7lb something (a lot of catching for only that) and as a pair we finished up in second place.
Enjoyable day, can’t wait for the festival now!
